Base Nutrients and General Purpose Fertilizers

Products used to give plants general nutrition. Base nutrients are used for general plant growth and contain different ratios of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (N-P-K). Some of these are geared more toward vegetative growth and may exhibit higher nitrogen levels. Some are used more during fruiting and flowering phases and may have higher ratios of phosphorous and potassium. Others are balanced and can be used during both phases.
